I’m posting this message is from Councilmember Jose Huizar regarding clean up in the Northeast:
Councilmember Huizar and CD 14 staff would like to update you on last week’s windstorm. As of Sunday, DWP reported that all customers’ power had been restored. Over the weekend here in the Northeast, we had over 100 Bureau of Street Service (BSS) workers, CD 14 staff from all District and City Hall offices and local community volunteers assisting in the cleanup effort, removing tree limbs and green waste from the area.
While fielding over 100 phone calls and office visits from constituents regarding loss of power or fallen trees, Council District 14 offices remained open late and staff pushed for daily and in some cases hourly updates from the Department of Water & Power, BSS and the Department of Sanitation to ensure that Northeast Los Angeles’ residents services and safety concerns were addressed as quickly as possible.
TRASH DELIVERY UPDATE
